I'm sure you know the rules, but just in case: I put my music player on shuffle, type out the start of the lyrics of the first 30 things that play, you guess the song, I cross it off the list and put your name by it. You repost the meme if you want to. No cheating by looking up the lyrics on google or whatever.

[Also, I made the unguessed ones red so they're easier to spot in all the line crossings.]

And I didn't know they used lavender's blue in a disney movie -which one? It's a well known english folk song (from 1600s I think?).

According to Wikipedia, it's called So Dear To My Heart, but I'm pretty sure what I saw it in was my brother's Disney Sing-Along movie. It just had the scene with the song.

22. The Plagues from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack. Though actually that's not the first lyrics of that song. The first lyrics are "Thus saith the Lord" repeated a whole lot!

Well yes. It starts with the chorus:

I send a pestilence and plague
Into your house, into your bed
Into your streams, into your streets
Into your drink, into your bread
Upon your cattle, on your sheep
Upon your oxen in your field
Into your dreams, into your sleep
Until you break, until you yield
I send the swarm, I send the horde
Thus saith the Lord

But I decided to put the first lyrics to the main tune and ignore the chorus bit or else it would be too hard to guess. I also did a similar things on some other songs such as Oedipus rex where I skipped "from the bible to the popular song" bit and on I got it from Agnes where I didn't type "I love my friends and they love me, we're just as close as we could be" and went right into the tune-bit.
